Dr. Connor martin
I'm Dr. Connor Martin, founder of Coldwire Labs, an independent research and security consulting practice based in central Pennsylvania.
I research exotic software and technologies. Some of that is malware and industrial control systems; some of it is whatever novel, unusual, or poorly understood problem lands on the bench next. My work sits at the seam between IT and the systems that run the physical world, where the interesting failures happen and where most defenses quietly break.
I hold a PhD in Homeland Security, along with CEH, and I'm a CVE Numbering Authority with MITRE. My research on cybersecurity risk assessment has been cited in research journals. I come from an offensive-security background, which shapes how I defend: to protect a system, I first understand exactly how it breaks.
Across risk assessment, digital forensics, incident response, and reverse engineering, my approach is the same. I break it, I understand it, I fix it, and I teach others to do the same. If you've got a problem that's unusual, high-stakes, or the kind other firms would rather not take on, that's the work I'm built for. Let's talk.
